Disney Transportation Projects

My role: Story & Writing Lead, Ticker Messaging Copy, Eco-Coach Naming and Story Development

I’ve had the joy of being the Story and Writing Lead for several Disney Transportation projects. Seriously, nothing beats dreaming up stories that “roll” around Walt Disney World Resort. It’s like my job is to give buses a personality. “Move over, Mickey, there’s a new character in town, and it’s a motor coach with attitude.

Eco-Coach

One of my projects was the Eco-Coach, inspired by Disney-Pixar’s UP. I crafted the eco-friendly story for the bus wrap and came up with the name “Eco-Coach.” Now guests can feel like Carl and Russell, going green without having to lift their house with a gazillion balloons. It’s like riding in a bus that shouts, “Adventure is out there… and it’s environmentally friendly!”

Themed Bus Greetings

One of my favorite transportation projects was coming up with themed “greetings” for the marquees. Each motor coach now has its own quirky “hello” message, making you feel welcomed by a bus with more personality than your chatty Aunt Linda. From “Howdy, Partner!” to “Ahoy, Matey!” these buses are basically Disney’s way of saying, “Your magical ride starts now!”
