Crafting an exclusive Japanese dining experience, where every dish is a work of art.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
We embarked on a journey to design Epcot’s very first signature dining spot in the Japan pavilion. Working closely with our operating partners at Mitsukoshi, we curated a story that pays homage to Japanese artistry, elevating the concept of dining to a true culinary masterpiece.
MY ROLE
- Story Development:Fashioned the heart of the restaurant’s narrative, centering on the intertwining beauty of Japanese artistry and culinary delights.
- Writing:Â Crafted compelling copy for every touchpoint, from menus to printed materials. Also penned charming haikus for the entryway.
- Naming: Dreamed up the restaurant’s signature moniker, which translates to “House of the Artisan.”
- Cast (Employee) Training: Designed scripts, spiels, and resources to train our new cast members, ensuring their interactions with guests kept them fully immersed in the narrative.
- Props: Worked closely with Mitsukoshi leadership to acquire props that enriched the space, seamlessly weaving into the artistic tale we were telling.
