PROJECT OVERVIEW
Hasbro and eOne set out to give the classic Yahtzee game a Peppa Pig makeover, bringing Peppa and her friends into a familiar game experience for a new generation of players.
The goal was to blend the recognizable fun of Yahtzee with the playful personality and colorful world of Peppa Pig, creating a version that felt fresh and distinctly Peppa while keeping the gameplay approachable for families.
The result was a playful new take on a classic game, giving Peppa Pig fans a new way to roll, play, and enjoy game night.
DESIGN CHALLENGE
The challenge was to bring Peppa Pig’s playful personality into a well-established game while preserving the familiar gameplay that makes Yahtzee easy for families to pick up and play.
The experience needed to feel unmistakably Peppa Pig without overwhelming the classic game mechanics. That meant finding the right balance between franchise storytelling, kid-friendly language, and the established Yahtzee experience.
The goal was to create a version that felt fresh and fun for Peppa Pig fans while still feeling like Yahtzee at its heart.
MY ROLE
Writing & Editorial Leadership: Developed packaging and instructional copy, ensuring the language was clear, engaging, and aligned with the Peppa Pig brand.
Final Art Reviews: Reviewed final artwork to ensure the creative, copy, and visual execution came together as intended.
Engineered Product Testing: Tested the physical game and components, identifying issues and opportunities for refinement before production.
Final Game Proofs & QA: Conducted detailed final proof reviews, checking copy, artwork, production details, and overall accuracy to ensure the finished game was polished and ready for launch.
