PROJECT OVERVIEW
Peppa Pig: Muddle Puddle Champion brought Peppa’s favorite pastime—jumping in muddy puddles—to life as a playful preschool game.
Designed for young Peppa Pig fans, the game centered on the joy of muddy puddles, playful competition, and the imaginative world of Peppa and her friends. The experience needed to feel simple and approachable for preschoolers while capturing the humor, energy, and personality that make Peppa Pig so recognizable.
The result was a game that turned one of Peppa’s most iconic activities into an interactive play experience for little fans.
DESIGN CHALLENGE
The challenge was to create a game that captured the playful chaos of jumping in muddy puddles while remaining simple enough for young players to understand and enjoy. The gameplay needed to feel intuitive, engaging, and age-appropriate without losing the humor and personality that make Peppa Pig so beloved.
We also needed to balance fun with clear gameplay mechanics, creating enough interaction and excitement to keep preschoolers engaged while making the experience easy for families to learn and play together.
The goal was to take something as simple as a muddy puddle and turn it into a memorable play experience.
MY ROLE
Creative Leadership: Helped lead the creative development of Peppa Pig: Muddle Puddle Champion from gameplay refinement through final production, connecting storytelling, player experience, and visual execution to ensure the finished game felt cohesive and true to the Peppa Pig brand.
Writing & Game Development: Led the development of packaging copy and refined the game rules, translating the gameplay experience into clear, engaging language that was easy for young players and their families to understand.
Playtesting & Creative Refinement: Served as a core member of the playtesting team, evaluating gameplay with the team and using player insights to identify opportunities for refinement. We tested, tweaked, and tested again until the experience was ready to make a splash.
Final Art Direction & Quality Review: Led final art reviews and carefully reviewed game proofs to ensure the creative, copy, and visual execution were accurate, polished, and consistent with the overall game experience.
RESULTS & IMPACT
Strengthened the creative partnership with eOne through close collaboration on the Peppa Pig franchise and game development.
Helped establish a new game platform for Peppa Pig, creating opportunities to expand the franchise into additional play experiences.
Introduced varied competitive gameplay modes that added replayability and gave young players new ways to engage with the game.
