Walking in the footsteps of real artists!

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Epcot team stumbled upon a conundrum: how to entice guests to explore the galleries around World Showcase while elevating the Festival of the Arts experience. Stepping into the fray, I lent my creative flair and penchant for mischief, aiding in the creation of a delightful, unconventional experience sure to tickle the fancy of artists of any age: interactive Art Stations.

MY ROLE

Story & Experience Development:
Crafted the very first immersive journey where guests embody the role of artists, fashioning their own miniature masterpieces.

Writing:
Penned engaging narrative copy for the Festival passports, guiding visitors through the artistic odyssey, and provided clear instructions at the Art Stations.

Concepts:
Forged connections between art station iconography and thorough research, ensuring each element resonated with the creative spirit of each gallery.

Site Walks & Install:
Guided exploratory jaunts alongside my graphics fabrication counterpart, scouting prime install locales amidst Epcot’s galleries.

QA:
Conducted rigorous testing post-installation, ensuring the seamless integration of the experience within the park’s vibrant tapestry.

RESULTS & IMPACT

  • Launched the very first novel and niche experience for the Epcot International Festival of the Arts, turning guests into artists and increasing foot traffic to Epcot’s galleries.
