How do you turn Snakes and Ladders into a Peppa Pig adventure?
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Hasbro and eOne teamed up to give the classic Snakes and Ladders game a Peppa Pig makeover, creating the first-ever UK edition featuring Peppa and her friends.
The goal was to bring the playful world of Peppa Pig into a familiar family game while giving the classic experience a fresh, franchise-inspired personality.
The result was a charming new way for Peppa Pig fans to play Snakes and Ladders, combining a beloved classic with the colorful world of Peppa and her friends.
DESIGN CHALLENGE
The challenge was to bring Peppa Pig’s colorful characters and playful personality into the familiar world of Snakes and Ladders while keeping the gameplay simple, approachable, and recognizable.
Because this was the first UK edition featuring Peppa Pig, the creative needed to feel distinctly connected to the franchise while still respecting the established game experience. From the board and artwork to the packaging and player-facing language, every element needed to work together as one cohesive Peppa Pig experience.
The goal was to create a fresh, playful edition that felt right at home in Peppa’s world while giving families a familiar game with a new reason to play.
MY ROLE
Writing & Editorial Leadership: Developed and refined the gameplay instructions and packaging copy, ensuring the language was clear, engaging, and aligned with the Peppa Pig brand and UK audience.
Creative Collaboration: Worked with the Hasbro and eOne teams to help bring the Peppa Pig experience into the classic Snakes and Ladders format.
Engineered Product Testing: Tested the physical game and components throughout development, identifying issues and opportunities for refinement before production.
Final Game Proofs & QA: Reviewed final game proofs and production materials, checking copy, artwork, legal lines, and game details to ensure the finished product was accurate, polished, and ready for launch.
RESULTS
Launched the first-ever Peppa Pig UK Edition of Snakes and Ladders, bringing the beloved franchise into a classic game format for UK families.
Strengthened the creative partnership with eOne through the successful development and launch of the collaboration.
